Hello there! My name is Ellyse, but my nickname growing up was Leesie (hence the shop name). I decided to start my business after I left my job teaching kindergarten to stay at home with my baby boy. I was having a hard time adjusting from leaving a career I loved to being a stay at home mom. After being in a bit of a post-partum slump I knew that I needed something to keep me busy, so I started to make little dolls. I was pleasantly surprised when I was actually able to sell them! I feel so blessed to be able to stay home with my little one and support my family by doing something I love. All dolls and dollhouse accessories are handmade with love in North Carolina.

Dudley Denim started in February of 2014 after receiving pants and long overalls for my son from family members. We live in South Florida and it is hot 51 out of 52 weeks of the year, so I began to cut off all of the legs and make him shorts. I started experimenting more and more every day with bleach and dye, then ended up opening my own shop that same month.

My name is Amanda Mertel, and I own Crayon Letters KC. I am a former high school English teacher. I taught for seven years, and this past year was my first year not teaching to be able to spend more time with my boys. I found myself creating activities for my boys while we were at home, especially during the COVID pandemic which is what brought me to creating these crayon letters. I found that I enjoyed creating these in my free time. I also saw that my boys, especially my three year old, enjoyed not only coloring with them, but utilizing them to work on his alphabet and numbers. Therefore, I saw that these had many benefits in helping my children learn, and I wanted to share these crayon letters with others.
Bright Littles help parents and children talk about the really big stuff.
